Victoria Magrath on Hair Eras, byfrow and Her Larry King London Edit

Content creator and byfrow founder Victoria Magrath has been part of the Larry King London family for a decade. She first came in to swap purple hair for silver, and she's been a loyal friend of the salon ever since. We sat down with Victoria to talk hair history, building a brand, and the three products she won't go without, now available together as The Victoria Edit.

How Victoria Met Larry King

It all started in the salon chair. Victoria came to Larry King London around 10 years ago for a big colour transformation.

"Me and Larry met probably 10 years ago now when I went into one of his salons to go from purple to silver hair. We met through a colorist, Amy Fish, who is still my colourist now, and we've been like best mates ever since."

Victoria's Favourite Hair Era: Purple, Pink or Silver?

Victoria's hair colours have been part of her story from day one. Choosing a favourite isn't easy.

"Probably one of my favourite eras is likely the purple/pink hair era because actually it was where my career first started and it's where people sort of knew me from. But actually I think I look back at my silver era as my most favourite because that's when I got married."

What Inspired Victoria to Launch byfrow?

byfrow began with a single product that didn't exist yet.

"byfrow was very much inspired by one particular product that I couldn't find on the market and I really, really wanted and I set out on a challenge to create it. We're still making it to this day, but in the meantime, we've just created lots of other really beautiful products and I'm having the best time doing it."
